AFL Grand Final 2019 Live Stream TV Preview
There is 120 minutes left of the AFL Season, with the Grand Final this Saturday to be history defining whoever wins between the Richmond Tigers and Greater Western Sydney Giants. For the Tigers, they have been regarded as the best side over the past three years, yet only have one flag, the 2017 premiership, to their name during that period. Winning this flag will confirm their status as one of the best sides this century. On the flip side, for GWS, a premiership will well and truly cement their place in Sydney and indeed the entire AFL competition as a powerhouse.
The Giants have come close in recent years without making the big dance until this season, and wow what a way to get to the Grand Final. The drama of Toby Greene during the week, plus the Appendix removal for Lachie Whitfield, saw the Giants go into the Prelim against Collingwood as outsiders, but they showed class. The Giants led by as much as 32 early in the last quarter, and then the Pies fought back hard and got within a kick, but GWS clung on to claim a maiden Grand Final berth. As for their opponent, the Richmond Tigers faced off against the Geelong Cats and at half time, it looked shaky, but Dustin Martin and Dion Prestia led the way in the midfield, and with Tom Lynch up forward, Richmond got over the top of a gallant Geelong. This Grand Final will be won in the midfield, both midfields being absolute bulls in the middle with pace on the outside, so whoever wins that will claim the game and flag. Should be a great crowd and a great atmosphere, but as shown in the guide below, you won’t find the AFL on Free to Air TV in every city or state in Australia.
Fixtures shown as Sydney time, adjust for regional differences. AFL match replays available through-out the week on Foxtel and Kayo. AFL Grand Final exclusive to Channel Seven (free to air).
